About Me:
I love dancing and listening to music, both of which help me express myself and stay grounded. I also love being outdoors and soaking in the beauty of nature, it brings me peace and inspiration. Plane spotting is one of my favorite pastimes, fueling my passion for aviation. I also enjoy meeting new people and building connections through networking, always eager to learn from others and grow both personally and professionally.
Why are you passionate about aviation?
My passion for aviation began at 7 years old when my dad took me plane spotting at Fort Lauderdale international airport. I was instantly captivated by the energy of the airport and the beauty of the aircraft. In July 2014, I took my first flight from Fort Lauderdale to LaGuardia on Spirit Airlines and was inspired to see a female pilot in the cockpit, it showed me that I could one day be in that seat too! Connecting with my cousin, a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, deepened my interest in the industry. After high school, I turned that passion into action by starting my flight training to pursue my dream of becoming a pilot.
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT and how did you hear about the program?
? I chose to apply for Tuskegee NEXT to enhance my leadership skills to further develop my knowledge as a professional pilot. I heard about Tuskegee NEXT at the OBAP conference in August 2024 where I met alumni Brianna, Thaddeus, & Farilyn where they introduced this incredible opportunity.
What are your future aviation aspirations?
My aspirations as the first black female pilot in both my families I desire to introduce aviation to young girls and become a mentor, flight instructor, and commercial airline pilot.
Fun Fact:
I love doing maneuvers! My favorite maneuvers are steep turns and stalls.
