About Me:
My name is Myles McNair, and I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I collect Legos, and I am working on becoming fluent in Spanish. I love going to concerts, and I'm learning how to play the guitar!
Why are you passionate about aviation?
I always knew that I would do something entertaining and unique for the rest of my life, but until recently, I never really knew what that was. I always thought planes were the coolest thing growing up, but never really thought of a career with them. Whenever I went on a flight, I would stare out of the window from takeoff to landing and feel a euphoric sense of fascination. Discovering that I could become a pilot and bring that same joy to others is what fuels my passion for aviation.
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT and how did you hear about the program?
I chose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT because I wanted to be in an environment that would challenge me to learn and grow while indulging in something I have a passion for. I heard about the program through an OBAP camp, where I got to meet the cadets firsthand, and they encouraged me to apply once I was old enough.
What are your future aviation aspirations?
There is a lot I want to do in aviation. I want to be a firefighter pilot because it seems like a challenging and fun job that would allow me to help a lot of people. My ultimate goal is to be a commercial pilot for United Airlines.
Fun Fact:
I listened to music for 102,306 minutes last year.
